I completed my Clinical Doctorate training at the University of Glasgow in 2015 and went on to work in Community Paediatrics and CAMHS roles with children, young people and their families. The focus of my role was within neuro diverse assessment and post diagnostic support. In 2021 I moved to work with adults in Clinical Health Psychology but continued to work privately with children and young people. This is a role that I find incredibly meaningful and professionally and personally I’ve learned a huge amount from the people I’ve worked with. I see it as a true honour and privilege to be a part of a person’s assessment and therapeutic journey. I believe that the therapist client relationship is one of teamwork; we each have skills, knowledge and strengths that we can bring to the partnership. My hope as a therapist is that each individual leaves feeling seen and heard, with a clearer sense of what they need to move forward in their life. I work within a variety of models and approaches with special interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT).
